Denver, Colorado--Officials from Orion Entertainment announce the debut of Capture Cowboys, a pilot that will premiere on History Channel Thursday night at 11pm Eastern. The series follows a fearless band of wild game capture specialists who risk life and limb to catch and relocate a variety of exotic animals now found across Texas. The series highlights this multi-billion dollar game ranching industry and the unique teams of capture specialists that help make it all possible.
Scores of species now found across Texas are threatened or endangered in their native ranges around the world, so the Texas game ranch industry has created a form of genetic insurance to perpetuate and grow populations of these species through a sustainable model of controlled hunting and game viewing.
"If you think crab fishing off the coast of Alaska is a dangerous job," says Orion Entertainment President Chris Dorsey and the series' Executive Producer, "wait until you get a look at what these teams go through to capture and move beasts ranging from oryx and zebra to buffalo and bongo."
